Federal immigration enforcement on city property
Roughly a dozen residents, many with the East County Rapid Response Coalition, described families afraid to go to work, school, or the store, and asked the city to act. The council directed staff to draft an ordinance barring ICE staging on city property and to build know-your-rights education with community groups.
Solid Waste Fleet Electrification
